Completion requirements
ob Analysis is the foundation of employee resourcing and other HR functions.
-
Definition: It is the systematic process of determining the duties, tasks, and requirements of a specific job.
-
Methodology: Data is collected primarily through observation, interviews, or questionnaires with current employees and supervisors.
-
Outputs: The process generates two critical documents:
-
Job Description (JD): States what the job holder does and how.
-
Job Specification (JS): Lists the minimum qualifications, KSAs (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities), and characteristics required for successful performance. This document directly guides recruitment and selection efforts.
